So I need to start off by apologizing for not doing a better job keeping this thing going! I have been SO busy working and doing other things that I literally haven't had a second to breathe! I love it though. :) So much has happened that I don't even know where to begin. So I will just cover my most recent trip. This past weekend was BRILLIANT!! I made a friend from Utah who's called Wendy who is my new travelling buddy and probably my bestie here. :) She is Lovely and I can't wait for my family to meet her. (All family member's that read this.. That means you.) We took a day trip down to Brighton. Its this old Victorian city on the coast and it is AMAZING!! For all of you Pride and Prejudice fans.. you should recall Brighton from that. It is absolutely gorgeous. The biggest difference is that the beach was all rocks. No sand. Anyway we had quite the journey down. A bridge collapsed before our train went through so we had to be re-routed by bus. It took us ages to get there and back home but it was worth it! Almost the second you get off the train you can see the ocean. Also, I have become quite good at picking out Americans here. Sadly.. I still totally look like an American. I need to get my shopping on and fix that! Anyway I was pointing out Americans all day.. We get down to the water and we were trying to guess where this group of guys was from. Then we see them go into the water.. way out into the water.. and take of there suits and wave them above their head. We both looked at each other and went.. "European". It was great. Mostly we just sat on the beached and talked. Well.. I talked Wendy's ear off... I feel like I do that a lot and I really need to get better and learning to shut my mouth. But it was a fantastic trip and I hope I can get back there again soon! Such a cool city.. Anyway..Here are pictures from our trip.
View as soon as you get off the train. A stupid bus drove in front of my picture and you can't see the water as well.. but the architecture was amazing!
Walking along the front. This was what I was seeing.. amazing!
The beautiful Wendy and myself!
I could have stood here for hours..
View from further onto the pier.
Hahah. I like this picture. Just before this picture I jumped into a tiny car arcade game and Wendy took a picture, but it is on her Camera so I don't have it.
I took this because of the ride you can see in the background. It was like a giant swing. It would take you out wayyyy above the water and hold you there for a few moments and then drop you. We watched one lady do it and it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen here!! Her face was priceless.
Love this picture. I could do some cool things with Photoshop on this one.
And this one.
Proof Wendy got in the freeezing water.
And me..
Cool straw.
Wendy taking candid photos. So happy she did. I wish I would have done the same for her.
Ice cream 99. :) Nothing better than Ice Cream and a Flake!
This is our new tradition with our new friend Jill. Also from Utah! (South Jordan) It is a new tradition that every weekend we go get Mexican. There are actually quite a few Mexican places to eat at in London, you just have to look for them. Props to my cousin Elise who used to live here.. She told us about a place called Tortilla in Angel. Its a lot like Chipotle.. But it is really cheap which makes me happy! She is also one of our new travelling buddies and we are planning a trip in October somewhere for her birthday! I cannot wait!! Anyway... That is all for now. I will try to get a post up AT LEAST once a week. I love you all and I miss you guys!!
